Your parents won't think anything as these are required for sports. Ask your dad to take you to buy one. He most likely had to wear one in gym. Now a days I don't think they make you wear one but I am betting he had to wear one when he was in school so just ask him about it and he will be cool with it.

Buying that first jockstrap is like rite of passage for teen male. I know you feel embarrassed by the prospects of talking with your parents. You might be surprised your dad when through the same experience when was your age.
If want just visit sporting goods store or Wal-Mar, Target or K-Mart in sporting goods section is display for supporters no age limit of who can buy a supporter. Good luck.

Oh this brings back a very embarrassing memory for me.
I was the same as you and wanted a jock strap. I was about 13 or 14. But I was too embarrassed to ask. So I stole one from a 17 year old at school who was one of those guys that all the younger boys had a crush on. When I stole it it was still dirty, covered in mud from the football field. I wore it like that and fantasised !
Actually I've still got it!

You want a jock strap, or you need one? Just tell your parents that you need one. Tell them it's required at school in your gym class. Tell them that you've got huge testicles and they need to be held supportively in order to prevent injury.
How can you not know what your parents think of you? Is your relationship with your parents at such a distance that you don't communicate?
Good luck to you. I'd like to know if you need that strap for enjoyment or supportive purposes...

It is part of your sporting outfit to prevent injuries. It is use to keep them close to your body so not get in the way for playing sports. They think of you wanting to be protected for playing sports. Not different having to put on a helmet.

Tell your dad you need one for P.E. class. It's a great opportunity to bond with your father. Most fathers will consider this a memmorable event to experience with their son.

so go to a sporting goods store and get one yourself, or just tell them it is required for your PE classes in school.
