I have 2 cans of soda everyday with my lunch and dinner. I don't drink coffee, alcohol, or smoke, but with the caffeine I have from my sodas (and candy), could that make me feel anxious?

What would be good drinks to replace soda with? I'm afraid I'm so used to drinking caffeine, that I might get headaches if I don't drink soda.

Thanks!

dear o dear, u r worrying too much, or is it that u have had 2 sodas right now?
yeah, caffeine causes a little anxiety... but 2 can of soda a day is nothing... trust it.

a perspective, caffeine in some routine items we consume:
Cup of coffee 90-150mg
Instant coffee 60-80mg
Tea 30-70mg
Mate 25-150mg
Cola 30-45mg
Chocolate bar 30mg
Stay-awake pill 100mg
Cold relief tablet 30mg

still if u feel to avoid that, try caffeine free sodas, i do and they taste the same, at least to me. the best drink on earth is water, so in a longer run try to make a conscious habit towards that.

take care n keep it cool. -aaveg.

Yes caffeine is a stimulant. But you are only on four caffeinated drinks per day. Start swapping them for water. For one of these sodas for a week, replace with water. Then on the second week have two glasses of water. Perhaps you need some slow released carbs. They will provide you with the energy until your next meal. Try porridge in the morning and brown rice with your lunch in the third week. You shouldn't suffer too many ill side effects with this plan.xx

Funny, but I get anxiety if I don't get my coffee! :) 2 12oz cans are only going to be about 60mg each of caffeine so I don't see how that's really affecting you, unless you only weigh 60 to 80 lbs. I don't start to feel anxious or jittery until I get around 400 mgs or 3 or 4 cups of coffee - then it depends on how close together. I would be looking closer at the amount of sugar you're getting which can have the same affect if it's too much - practically everything processed has sugar. I stick with water and coffee mostly - the best substitute for colas is water when you get used to it - it's better for you.

Yes actually I drank coffee earlier and i was very very anxious and didnt feel comfortable. Caffine is not good for you generally so you can replace soda with a juice drink(orange juice) or water. Soda has lots of sugar as well which is not very good.

Yes, they could cause that,Ween yourself off of the soda's and that way you will not get a headache. And for what to drink pick healthier solutions, low sugar,no caffeine ect....

I have been drinking green tea instead. It has almost half the caffeine as soda

Try tea. I was coffee-addicted, and when I switched to tea I was able to cut down on caffeine without the headaches.

You most definitely can feel anxious from it! I was told to cut back, if not completely remove, caffeine from my diet to try and help my anxiety attacks.

What you want to do is slowly cut down on your intake, not stop it all at once, so you won't get the withdrawls.

Yes, it can. Makes my mom feel anxious, at least. I'd recommend drinking juice, or some energy drinks, perhaps. And to avoid getting caffine-withdrawal headaches, you could slowly ween yourself off. (Have one can per day, then half, then none?)
