if you would like to start dancing like-- hip-hop or ballet or tap and jazz -- what kind of physical shape do you have to be in? can you start dancing if you are a little out of shape? if so, how long would it take for the dancing to get you into shape?

Like for any physical activity, it is better to be in shape than out of shape. But there is only one way of getting back in shape that I know of. That is physical activity. You definitely should try dancing if it interestes you. Some movel will be too hard at first, but as you get more in shape you'll learn them.

Noone can tell you how long will it take you to get in a good shape. It depends on how badly out of shape you are and how much you dance/exersise and how healthy you eat.

its ok to start dancing out of shape. but as well as dance when your watching tv you should do like sit ups or push ups or crunches and then after doing a lot of those stretch to go into your splits.

this will help making you better with flexibility and skinnier w/ more muscle all in one lol. you have better flexibility after warming up muscles (running, sit ups, push ups) so this will help.

good luck!
