Telling her that the kids hate her cooking could be very bad. LOL! Why not set up some fun activities for them to do together while you cook? Or make the cooking a family event (depending on the ages of your kids). Or ask the kids how they like things made and maybe your wife will get the hint.

Don't be such an ***. Help her out. Be patient and understanding and who knows- she might just learn a thing or two.
Just because she's the breadwinner doesn't mean she has lost all her matronly instincts. She wants to feel as if she is putting in effort at home as well. Do like many women do to their men in these instances- Humor her, but assist so that the food is edible.
And make those ungrateful kids understand their mom is struggling to do something for them around the house, even when she doesn't have to. (and be grateful for a wife willing to assist- Some don't help at all..

OH how I understand! My mom is one undesirable cook dinner and ingesting her indigestible nutrients - arranged with large love, ideas you - grow to be between the main tortuous issues of my early existence. Thanksgiving grow to be between the worst. I trust yet another poster - have anyone PLAN and then cook dinner the dinner mutually. you comprehend, as a kinfolk - toddlers risk-free! Plan it out first - choose for on the recipes (which isn't replaced) mutually so human beings won't get stunned on the garlic and bitter cream interior the potatoes, or butterscotch chips interior the pumpkin pie. With revealed recipes in hand, you could parcel out the initiatives - and every physique could have a hand in making waiting the meal, putting the table - and helping with the sparkling up. That way, you could run interference - and function some reliable previous kinfolk exciting on a similar time. reliable success -

get her a culinary class gift certificate for Christmas. Get her a good cookbook or some cooking magazine subscriptions. Watch the Food Channel with her and learn some cooking skills yourself.
Until then tell her Honey I'm going to make the fixins and you cook the Turkey this year.

Did your kids learn to dislike your wife's cooking because you don't and they copy you as you're at home with them/get them to school etc?!
It must be tough for your wife, so support her and why not make it a family event - pick recipes together in advance, do the shopping together and give the kids age-appropriate tasks.
I hope you have a nice family meal together whatever happens.

maybe you can have the kids help her or suggest what they want. But it looks to me like this is her domestic side getting some attention after bringing home the paycheck all year.
Grin and bear and tell your snotty kids to tdo the same or you will have her cook their lunches and you'll just heat them up.
Then tactfully tell her what's going on and look for an answer together

Bring your wife a dozen roses the night before thanksgiving along with a bottle of Tattengers pink champagne and --well--and let her know you want tomorrow to be very special--and you are going to prepare the meal--I'm sure she will agree--go for it. Happy Thanksgiving

Get a new wife. No. Just kidding. Are they her kids too? Sounds like maybe a step mother they resent. If not that, then maybe they are just used to your cooking. But it sounds like you don't like her cooking either. My girlfriend was living at home when she got with me, and not a great cook either. Let her help. Help her to get better.

Ask her if you can do it for once and failing that get her a thanksgiving gift - a recipe book! Get her enthusiastic about reading and trying the recipes out too. But make sure you have a flick through first to make sure your kids will like the food!

You should find her some recipes that you and the kids would like, so then she can still cook a nice dinner for everyone to enjoy.
