The radio killed it by playing it 50 million times and now you can't listen to it without cringing?

So many for me... particularly Led Zeppelin's Over the Hills and Far Away

You?

Gotta be either Stairway or Bohemian Rhapsody.

Great songs for sure, but radio beat em to death. Now it's good to hear em maybe once a year.

It's been so long since I listened to a radio station that plays music I like ~ we're talking nearly 15 years here! ~ that I'm not sure there are any.

A couple that I remember being on the radio almost constantly when I was under 10 are :~

A Kind of Magic ~ Queen
Hey Jude ~ The Beatles
Anyone Who Had A Heart ~ Cilla Black {listened to it for the first time in years a couple of weeks ago}

Oohh! Hang on :~

November Rain ~ Guns N' Roses
{though it always seemed to be the shorterned version}

Money For Nothing ~ Dire Straits {edited version}
{I couldn't listen to it for quite a few years, and still often only listen to the intro}

I have an endless list that fits this category, so we'll just sum it up by saying anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd, most Stones tunes, every single off of Pearl Jam's Ten album, the entire Van Halen I album, the three singles from Appetite for Destruction, and the 1987 version of "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake.

NP: "Stone Cold N' Crazy" - Burning Rain

Imagine by John Lennon. I heard it on the radio once, fell in love, bought Lonnon Legend, then they just kind of went crazy and played it ten times an hour, which made the Backstreet Boys sound appealing.

Enter Sandman by Metallica. I know it is a very popular song but the first time I heard on the radio I stopped dead in my tracks at the sheer sonics of the thing. Go back to it and listen to it now...it is an excelent song it just got WAAAAY overplayed.

Definitely Stairway To Heaven. Probably the most overplayed song ever.

The Beatles-Hey Jude
Guns N' Roses-Knocking on heaven's door
Gary Moore-Still got the blues

Maybe I have to rest from them for a couple of years and than be able to listen again.
