Its because thats what its called, maybe because the UK is the country that most uses Yahoo Answers.

Mine does not say that. Go easy here. English was first invented in England. And the people from the UK are wonderful and have a great sense of humour.

If you are in the uk that is what shows up.
If you want to go to another country to answer questions go to the bottom of the page and click on any flag and that will take you there.
You can roam allover the world on yahoo questions and answers,lots of people do this. I find the American site quite boring, lots of religious questions, Australia can be quite interesting. Give it a go, the world is at your finger tips.
