I got a trade proposal for Peterson but will he be back soon for sure or will Minnesota hold him back?

The talk has been that AP will return before the season is over and he will again be the featured back if it happens. There is no definite date, though, and a deal today should be made by taking this diminished value into account. No matter how great the player, being on IR means zero points for the week. If you don't desperately need a RB - are not overpaying - and can afford to wait, then a deal may be OK.

They say he might come back for the last few weeks but I wouldn't count on it. He's the only weapon the Vikings have on offense so they can't risk further damage to his injury, or he might miss a lot of the off season and maybe even part of next season. The Vikings have almost no chance of making the playoffs with the Packers and Lions playing so well, and Chester Taylor proved this past week that he can carry the offense for the rest of the season (he got 164 yards and 3 touchdowns). I don't think Minnesota will put Peterson in just to please the fans. If you have enough depth at RB that you can hold out for however long Peterson will be out, then I would go ahead and just stash him on the bench because you know this guy wants to play and he might be back for the last few weeks. Otherwise, if you need help at RB or any other position then I would try to trade him.

He'll be back for sure, but will be of limited use. He's running in an underwater treadmill and is projected to play either week 12, which is a very outside chance, or week 13. He'll reclaim his back up job behind a healthy Taylor, which would be the right decision for the Vikings. Especially with no chance of making the playoffs.

Don't know for sure, but todays ESPN says he'll be out 1-2 more weeks.
