Pay no attention to the people who say it means slow. They're either British or behind the times, or maybe they're just being mean. In modern black American slang, thick means basically the same thing as "full-figured". In other words, it means you're not skinny but it's not a derogatory word like fat. I've heard a lot of black women call themselves thick, or healthy, which means the same thing.

I don't know about the kids these days, but when I was a kid it usually meant they didn't think you were very smart. It was short for thick-headed, meaning new things don't get though to the brain very quickly.
Obviously they mean it as an insult, but don't let them get to you. You can be the better person by not engaging them in name calling. Chances are, they're trying to cut you down because they feel threatened by you in some way. Are the guys they want interested in you? Do you look better in the fashions you all are wearing? Are you a better student? Part of a higher status clique? Something about you is making them feel inferior and they're trying to bring you down a notch.
Be strong and remember it's the people who use insults instead of intelligence and acceptance that are thick in the head.

thick is just a word we guys use on girl like it's good to be called thick because it's just saying that you're not too skinny or fat you're just in the middle.. it's a good thing so relax..

K' there's 2 things it could mean: if a girl tells u that then she means your fat. if a dude tells u that then he thinks u look good and i mean good enough to Fk. so yea take how u want.
