the pleasure of giving back and seeing the persons face light up is far far more rewarding than pocketing!..besides the warm feeling of your good deed will stay with you forever and make YOU happy....more to gain in being honest than otherwise...don't you agree?

I wouldn't steal it.

The fact of the matter is that it will always catch up with you. You may never see the actual results, but you will pay for it somehow.

It could be the fact that you feel guilty about it, it could be the classic rise in price of items because of losses, it could be a number of things.

I've been in a couple of cases like this (never anything big), some of them I've taken things, some of them not. There's always something that happens afterward.
You may find out that you were, in fact, being witnessed and just didn't know. You may find out someone else stole it and got caught. You never really know.

I would give it back. I am just that type of person. Unfortunately a lot of people take advantage of my kindness. Oh well. It is there to give.
