If your totally against them, why?

They aren't the netting things. They are like baby bottles that you put baby food in and they suck the food through the nipple. It has a bigger hole than a regular bottle.

I don't use one but I'm not against them. I seem to feed my baby with a spoon just fine, and I just find them unnecessary. Also, a lot of the information out there regarding starting a baby on solids is against infant feeders because it can cause choking or overeating, which in turn can lead to a baby being overweight.

Do you mean the mesh feeders? I bought a couple, but didn't end up using them. They just didn't seem necessary. My daughter started transitioning to finger foods at 7 months and never looked back. I guess some people use them for things that would be too hard to give the baby to eat and they can just gnaw away at it without fear of choking, but I just give my daughter soft foods that she can feed herself. To me they are just more trouble than they are worth.
