Well as long as you are not pushing on it then it is safe... but alot of women are very bothered by people touching them!! Personally it didn't bother me... the only person that I did not let touch me was the father( we had split up before I knew i was prego cause he slept with a 14 year old girl) other than that I was OK with it!!

Well it doesn't actually cause pain to touch a pregnant womans stomach, however it can make her uncomfortable. Sure, there is a baby in there, but it is also her stomach... would you rub somebodys stomach if they weren't pregnant? Probably not. It's just weird. I hated it when I was pregnant.

I find the action of strangers touching me to be rather rude but not harmful. I have yet to start showing enough for ppl to reach over and rub my belly. Although I smile at the thought that "if" some stranger were to uninvitedly rub my belly, I am planning on reaching over and doing the same thing to them. It might be a bit evil... but I like the thought nonetheless. ;)

i highly doubt rubbing a pregnant womans stomach is harmful I just believe it is rude. It is my body and I am not liking other people touching me. pregnant or not. I need my space.

I dont know about unsafe or safe.... But I know it bothered the crap out of me! I don't like people touching my stomach!!! I just wanted to yell "BACK OFF"

i only touch a pregnant woman's belly if i'm invited to,
though if it was my gf, i'd probably touch it just to be like "woah, theres a kid in there" lol.

Safe for mama and baby, but can be VERy harful to the toucher.... us preggos can be awefully hormonal...

My two best friends - Kyle (age 17) and Becky (22) touch my belly sometimes and they are very gentle. I wouldn't say it is rude or something. It is very nice.

It doesn't cause pain. It is invasive though, I hate people doing it.
