I need to write a paper on the ethnicity of Americans and I need some information.?

I need to write a paper on the race and ethnicity of Native Americans. My teacher says that they are a group with a very exploited anc checkered past. Where can I find information on this subject. I have to write a 3 page paper and it is due on the 28th of November. Any information and websites to visit would be nice, or if any of you know anytthing about Native Americans then please feel free to add. No..Im not asking you to write my paper! I just need some insight. Thanks so much and look forward to reading what you have to say. thanks

1.) It is not 'Native Americans'. It is 'American Indians'.

2.) Search the web by tribe names, such as 'Sioux', 'Mohawk', 'Cherokee', etc.

3.) Search US history 'Indian Wars'.

4.) Tell people that it is 'American Indians'. They are called 'Indian Reservations' for a reason. And American Indians are not Americans, which 'Native American' implies.

For information about where they came from try web searches (or just in wikki) on "land bridge" and "kelp highway".

Wikki should have some good references on reservations, and many tribes have their own websites.

Don't forget about the South American Natives as well.
