The news story said the boys were charged with rape, even though no force was used. The girl can't legally agree to a sex act, so they had no choice but charge the boys with rape. My question is what should they do with these boys if found guilty?

All the kids involved need therapy and all the parents/guardians of the kids need to be sent to parenting classes by court order.

This is an important wake-up call to parents everywhere to inform them that their presumably innocent pre-pubescent children DO know what sex is, and they are experimenting - and part of their experimentation involves threats of violence, as if that were a "normal" part of sexual behavior.
This is very disturbing indeed.

all the boys had to do to be guilty of rape was force something (not necessarily their penis) into any of the girls cavities it is sad but 8 and 9 year olds are capable of this and it is not the first time this has happened there was a very big case a long while back of an 9 year old raping a 5 year old boy with a stick and then killing him with a rock

The boys need counseling and I'm not so sure that I'd use the word "therapy" since that sounds worse. I mean, geez, kids are curious. Kids play doctor. If no force is used, it's sexual play.

No, not appropriate, but certainly not the heinous crime that the criminal statutes were written to address. Good grief, change the facts a little and it's one little boy with two little girls engaged in sexual "play" (for lack of a better word). Should the girls go to jail for experimenting with the boy?

What if it was one-on-one? Jail is not the answer.

those boys need some extensive therapy!!
they certainly do NOT need to be tossed into juvy & farm homes to be raised there... they can be taught how wrong it was since they are so young, rather than being put into the system & forgotten--that wouldn't do anyone any good!
