I have been on birth control pills ; tri-cyclen low for 4 months now. I have been having pregnancy symptoms for this month & irregular bleeding. Bleeding for 15 days straight - feeling nauseated, headaches, mood swings, backaches, lower abdominal pain, food cravings, fatigue, breast size increase, breast tenderness, and I gained 13 lbs. I had spotting between periods when I first started the pills and I would occasionally feel nauseated but these symptoms started this month. I went to the clinic this morning and they decided to have me take two pills a day for [two days] and then start taking them at night instead of the morning and see if that helps. If the problem persists - they will change my pills to something with a higher estrogen level. I took a pregnancy test & for those wondering - i am not pregnant. So I guess this means the problem, in a nut shell; was I am not getting enough estrogen? am I correct from your understanding? i'm not an idiot, i just wanted to make sure everyone else is getting the same idea as me. thanks.

Based on several of your symptoms it sounds like you are having a situation where you are having low estrogen levels because the dose of estrogen is not agreeable to your body.
