erm pretty much any government is untrustworthy, maybe the power goes to their heads, and at the moment the UK is governed by a prime minister who hasn't been voted for, great

nope i cannot trust them-it is an absolute farce-if any of the unfortunates who's details were lost lose money out of their bank accounts will the government refund them?? i think not. once again this puppet government has left it's citizens open to the perils of international crime syndicates (not to mention the frightening thought that the names and details of children are also on those discs). again another case for the anology "lions led by donkeys". apparently the discs were sent by a junior clerk-i hope this person is not made the scapegoat in this affair as this is another classic case of cost-cutting within the government. such confidential details should have been encrypted and sent through a closed circuit.

As much as I would trust a starving dog with a plate of fillet steak. The reason they get away with things is because they ARE unaccountable. Once a party is elected they can do what they like, what voice has the electorate got? Local MPS may sort out minor problems concerning their community but they hold no sway in the bigger scheme of things. Their first job if they want to progress in politics is to toe the party line. We can bawl and shout all we want about issues that concern the majority but it goes unheeded. Only at election time do we count, and then all we do is swap one shower of w*****s for another who are as equally corrupt. I aim to give the main three both barrels and vote UKIP, they are the only party who appear to be in tune with what this country and it's people need.

I believe this government has been quite ineffective in so many areas and it has been able to deceive the population when it comes to manipulation of the public purse. Brown has been able to hide the poor state of the economy from us for so long but the shortcomings in his financial management is now catching up with him and Darling is paying the price.
He handed control to the Bank of England and they have been able to make an utter ballsup and have lost complete control. If we go into recession Brown and the B of E have to take the blame.

Personally I'd actually be prepared to trust the French more. They do not pretend to be anything other than a selfish corrupt garlic stinking crowd of selfish hypocrites. I have to admire that little bit of honesty anyway. I refer to the nation as a whole not to individuals

Elected Officials in the U.K. are like elected officials anywhere, they are trustworthy exactly in proportion to the extent the voters hold them accountable. No matter how corrupt an official may be, as long as he's getting away with it, he has no reason to change.
