I hate coppers....they are all useless! They don't deal with the important problems and crimes...they just deal with petty things!!
Coppers arrest people for drinking, for smoking weed etc....but the people who rob banks get away, paedo's are left to stay in parks, and rapists are walking the streets with their heads held high!!
I was once dragged down the road by a car, I had so many cuts and bruises and if they'd have held on to me for 10 seconds longer I'd have been dead as I'd have gone under the car as they turned the corner!!
So I phoned the police, I knew who held my arm and I knew who was driving, I had pics taken of my arms, head, back, legs and bum...they were viscious injuries!!
I gave my statement and so did the people who were with me....they got a statement off of who held my arm, and of the driver....however because they both said that I held on to the car.....they got away with it because there wasn't enough evidence to say if I was being held or holding on!!

They came to my house to apologise that they couldn't arrest him!?!An apology...what was that going to do!?!
Two weeks later, the man who held my arm, killed an old lady while driving wrecklessly in his car...surely that could have been helped if the police had done their job properly!?!
I was also raped....told the police, they arrested the man, then bailed him and gave him 100 hrs community service!?! What the @#~!
It's stupid....
Then my mate punched a copper...and went to prison for 2 1/2 years!?!
They need to sort it out....what's your views?Do you think they do a good job?Do you think they're doing it all wrong?
I will never trust a copper in my life.

I would sort it, but they don't, they're supposed to be here to serve and protect.....b0l0u*!

So the police investigated you case, the DA rejected it due to lack of evidence and you are mad at the cops? Makes no sense to me.
The police do not let bank robbers, pedophiles and rapists walk. They can only collect evidence and arrest people based on the evidence.
"I was also raped....told the police, they arrested the man, then bailed him and gave him 100 hrs community service!?! What the @#~!" - Funny, the police arrested the guy, the court released him on bail and gave him 100 hours community service and yet you blame the police. You really need to learn how the criminal justice system works. The police have nothing to do with the punishment given by the court. Since the guy got such a light sentence it sounds like they had trouble proving the case and took a plea for something less.
You can hate the police all you want, however your anger is severely misplaced.
Your rant makes less and less sense:
"Well that's funny....coz I know someone who robbed a bank and has never been caught.... - Since you know about them why haven't uyou called the police? You are part of the problem. Apparently you know something the police do not. You may even be aa criminal yourself if you are assisting this person is remaining hidden. Your inaction is worse than his crime.
"I also have a paedophile that lives right near the park by me," - Convicted, time served and released? Or suspected? See my discussion about the bank robber. Same issues.
"and I 100% know 3 rapists that live in my town" - Again, convicted, time served and released? Or suspected? See my discussion about the bank robber. Same issues.

Hi there.
The cops are given rewards for hitting targets, the same as any job. So they prefer nice easy cases that they can tick the boxes for. It is the legal system behind them, focussed on money and not much else, that is the problem, and the politicians that decide what the cops should be doing.
The cops would do better if they had more freedom, but they would also make more mistakes. it is all a trade off, but the bottom line is that the cops are there to keep ordinary people in their place so society ticks over for the rich, NOT to serve and protect. Which is why property crime and crimes against the cops themselves are punished much more severely than assaults and rapes against ordinary folks.
You keep your chin up, Steve.

i really do think most of the problem is down to the judge even though it also shows the law must go on what mood the judge is in on the day as you can see the same small crimes happening in the same town yet get different fines some can be as much as 2 or 3 hundred pound differences . but i also think the police dont help at times as there was harrassment outside my house for about 12 months a policeman told us we need proof to back our story so we asked if we could put security cameras up we were told no as it is recording them without there permission then another time when we phoned them out they said put one up so we did the next time we were asked again who told we were allowed

There are a lot of people who get great satisfaction from making others happy. Parents are a basic example of the "self-sacrifice" principal taught in the Bible, volunteer missionaries would be an extreme example. Pretty much all of the principals found in the Bible are in between those two extremes. So, yes, personal happiness would be the most important thing for me. (Religion doesn't matter when you believe in equality among human beings, but I'm a garden variety Protestant.)

As I taxpayer, I expect the pigs and courts to solve felonies and put the offenders in jail.
Altogether too much time is spent on petty incidents and on killing disturbed people, like that man in Vancouver Airport.
People I know have been affected by the following felonies:
- theft of $750 from my wallet
- mugging of 80 year old frail mother of close friend
- vicious assault on a minister who stopped to help some punks
- hit and run on a friend on a bike
- a vicious assault on a schizophrenic woman which left her hospitalized for 7 months
And don't blame the courts: none of these cases ever came to court - the perps ware never found.

I think they do as good of a job as they are allowed to do. They have rules and procedures just like any other job. If there wasn't enough evidence, why should he take your word over someone elses? Punching a cop is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. How dumb, they have the right to arrest you and ask questions later, why would you take that risk. Above all, they are human like anyone else, and have to make judgment calls that they can be sued for, or responsible for others lives, if they make the wrong one. These are people whose job it is to protect and serve. Nobody forces them to be police officers, they volunteer to be shot at and disrespected by ignorant people like you for VERY little pay. Quit whining.

Unfortunately I agree and it saddens me to say.But my sister in law was knocked down whilst crossing the road with the green man flashing and even though there were witnesses and she broke her coxix (the small bone at the base of your spine) and he drove through a red light ..the police decided they wont prosecute because its not high priority. My husband has to call the police a lot with his work and it always takes days for them to turn up.A couple of weeks ago someone was shooting at a skip at his work and the didn't even bother coming then ..yes I did say shooting!! tough on crime my ****!!
yet if I drove 3 miles over the speed limit they would probably do a dawn raid.......

I am really sorry.
But you simply cannot blame it on the police officers who reguarly risk their own lives for the sake of the general public. They can't control what they are told to do, and part of the problem is that people are ignorant of this. People have very little respect for the police now, and they are only there for our own good! I simply can't understand that.
If you want to blame someone, blame the Government. It's the system itself that is flawed, not the police officers.

To press charges and arrest someone is not the policemen's decision. It is the DA who decides if the evidence backs up and warrants an arrest. In your case two people said one thing and you said another. No evidence to prove either side. That again is not the coppers call. I am sorry for what happened to you but it is not the cops fault.

It is NOT the fault of any individual policmen/women carrying out to Nanny PC's letter of the law his/her job.
Judges are supposed to be completley independant of ANY Government and politics.. HUH !!
One only has to watch any Judge Deed tv programmes on bbc to see how the judicial system operates !! I KNOW it's only a drama series, BUT, like ALL drama series on tv's, they are BASED on facts... somewhere !!..
Don't take it out on the police officers themselves - no matter how frustrating. Just be grateful he/she's NOT a Military Police Officer.. or maybe THAT is what IS needed... they have FAR more legal powers to carry out thier duties infinately more effectively... and with less fuss !!
