In any social situations - you all start off as equal, then u feel like your the odd one out as things go on?
Why do you think that is?
I've had it my whole life - I'm nice, normal(ish) and friendly, so how come this keeps happening??
I'm 26 btw.

I am an outsider. No purpose nor place, and am yet to find a purpose or place which makes me truly happy.

Maybe outsiders should come together? Then we can make our identity and no longer be an outsider in the process.

We are special - individual certainly but special :-)
I think we must see things differently and possibly feel things differently. We are apart from the crowd - and I don't mean anything negative by that. We are more 'observers' (of ourselves as much as anyone else), outsiders looking in, which is how we come to recognise our separateness. Does any of this sound familiar? And do you recognise it in other people? But hey, we belong. We are a brotherhood and sisterhood of strangers, linked by our separation. Well, I'd like to think so anyway.
At twice your age, I am comfortable with the idea of being an outsider - a stranger - though there are times when one envies the easy social interactions of the 'normal'.

yep.... im way too familiar with that feeling :( and i totally hate it! i usually, not unlike yourself, start off normally, and then find myself lost and just quiet, trying to get drift of the conversation and wondering if i should chip in or not? i feel like a total moron and i hate feeling that way, especially when theres people around me just laughing and having a great time. All my friends are very talkative and i feel like im just tagging along, when we meet up with another gang of people and start chatting. im just standing there smiling like a gormless idiot at god knows what!

it is very weird, personally, because i feel i am friendly and easy to talk to, but then i feel like theres a block of stone in my way, when im with a group.

so dont worry, you're not the only one.... :-)

hope that helped!!! :S

maybe you're the only one that feels that way!!..i mean maybe your family and friends think you're not an outsider but a very people's person!!...you see it's us who create this assumption(the outsider part!!)...you just have to change some of your habits!!...make yourself better...i dunno anything about you...but i think you got what i mean!!...ask yourself who am i?, what's my mistake?, what's my weak point?, why can't i feel welcome when am in a presence of someone?....what am i good at?....etc.....when you find all the answers..then you will know why you felt like an outsider...and if you try to improve your personality...am not saying change it..just improve it...decrease the amount of thinks people dislike...until you feel an insider not an outsider!
