We prefer not to use the iron on method. We would like to try the fabric sheets 8.5 x 11 that you can run through the bubble jet printer. Has anyone used this method and are there any tips or favorite brands of fabric sheets?

I make my own. I get white muslin or Egyptian cotton, the smoother the better. Treat it with Bubble Jet Set from http://dharmatrading.com . Iron it to a piece of freezer paper and cut it to page size. Tape the fabric and paper to a sheet of card stock by running a long piece of cellophane tape along the top. Do not tape the sides or bottom. Print your picture. You can re-use the card stock but not the freezer paper because there will be ink on it. Run the sheets through one at a time. After Printing, treat with Bubble Jet Rinse or white vinegar in water.

Hi,
I have used the transfer method many times. A good name brand is always the best to use, and if you have a choice, always use a pure white for best results. Also, after placing you image in your computer, it is important to over saturate your colors through your image program, otherwise, your print will appear somewhat dull. Set your printer to print at 300 dpi.
This is also important to improve the quality of the print.
Have fun!

I like to use the cotton fabric sheets from Jacquard. They are more expensive than the sheets that are available at Jo-ann's, but recently i have started having trouble with the products i bought there-the sheets won't separate easily from the backing, causing them to stretch and distort the image.

i get the Jacquard cotton pack at Michael's - i use the coupons to cut the cost. i also use their organza fabric for the printer- works great!

I like printed treasures brand personally.
I'm in the process of making one with copies of vintage baseball cards of a player and embroided numbers of the player in team colors for a gift.
