I usually send a sandwich on whole wheat, a piece of fruit, carrot sticks, crackers or a granola bar. Then they get milk at school. I have always sent these types of lunches because if Gushers or chips got sent, the other stuff would come home uneaten. Call me mean or a "crunchy", but the kids hardly ever complain and I know they're getting a well-rounded meal .

A peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some flavor of mini bag of chips, a 100% juice juice box and a string cheese or piece of cheese. Once in awhile a Lunchable. She has informed me she does NOT eat the carrots or apples so don't bother putting them in her lunch box. She is 5 and I am her Grandma. My son (he's 30) used to sell his lunches. He was 8 or 9 at the time.

Today it was:
a piece of pitta bread cut in half. I took one slice and filled it with organic natural jelly. On the outside I spread peanut butter..and sliced up some different color fruit and added it to the outside of the pita bread on the peanut butter making it look like a rainbow.
with a side of baby carrott sticks with a thing of ranch for dipping :) yum!
and a side of some left over cut up fruit.
and chocolate silk soy milk (my sons fave!)
