Hello
Unfortunately the courts will not arrange travel arrangments for you; it is your personal responsibility to be in court at the appointed time; however some courts may be willing to switch courts dates if it works for all parties involved including the judge.
Hope this helps.

You did not state the reason for a court date.
You should phone the clerk of the court and ask this question, and explain why you cannot make it. Maybe they can change the date, but they need advance notice.
If your a defendent in a civil case they will find against you, and you would not be able to appeal the decision no matter if you were in the right or not.

Most likely the courts will not arrainge for travel and will not pay for it.. even if they did it would be the cheapest way (e.g. bus ticket?)
Albiet If you are a defendant in a criminal case, you may get free travel if you do not show up.. when a bench warrant is issued for you and the police arrest and transport you back..for the case. ..
Otherwise, the only time an official may interverne would be if a prosecutor or other party subpoenas you as a witness, then the party that subpoenaed you should pay your travel costs.

No. Its up to you to arrange for your travel getting there. Make sure you do get there as if you do not show up they will issue a bench warrant for your arrest if its a criminal matter. If its civil you will get a default judgment against you.

Yes...in the form of a warrant for your arrest.
Sell a kidney, grab a Greyhound bus, and get yourself to court.

Never happen. You are looking at a default, by you.
You DON'T want this.
