When it comes to basting the bird I don't fool around...mine is a heavy duty stainless steel jobber with a big black bulb and a brushed satin finish.....no wussy plastic basters for me! lol

I got a cheap one for 1.97 at Wal Mart this year, and then decided that I may just use a turkey bag to cook it in, so no basting needed. We'll see.

No, basting here, its a waste, and adds to cooking time. I brine, and use a digital thermometer.
