I will have to do a write in vote and agree with those who say The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. They took it to #9 on the pop charts in 197. If no write ins are allowed then a lot can be said for Sammy Davis Jr. Then again Sammy was a singer and dancer who probably could better relate to the Charater the song was based on -- Babe Stovall, a guitar player and singer/dancer who worked in New Orleans in the late sixties. He played a National Dobro steel body guitar, with, as he used to say "...just a finger and a thumb... I don't read a note of music..."

sure I agree that often happens on those shows the lads on Any dream will do did an analogous element. Its a shame Amy went I do think of Francesca would desire to be next as i don't think of she has an exceedingly reliable voice even nonetheless she is a "professional".
