usually the first week of december but this year my kids and i put it up the first week in november so the kids can enjoy it before they have to leave for the visitation period. (they are gone for 3 weeks starting on christmas day.)

Usually the day after Thanksgiving, after putting up the outside decorations.
I used to do it a little later, but I gave up shopping on Black Friday (WHO CAN STAND THOSE CROWDS? AND THE RUDE PEOPLE THAT MAKE UP THE CROWDS!!), so I have conformed to doing it like the rest of my family!

December 6th. And it gets taken down on January 4th. Don't ask me where we came up with the dates, but it's become a bit of a tradition.
