....when you ask him what the time is, he starts explaining how a watch is made, how much his watch has cost, who bought it for him etc.etc. and at the end everybody has forgotten the initial question???

Yes, I complemented my sisters mother-in-law about a ring she was wearing and I swear like 2 hours later I was still hearing the story of this ring. Thankfully I can tune people out while still pretending to listen.

Last week there was a strike in France. I asked a guy which lines were actually working and then he started to explain why there was a strike! Finally we finished talking about politics. Then he asked me where i was from i said i was from Turkey so he continued asking questions and telling me about the time he passed in Istanbul.
Finally i left the man without learning the working lines.
I found out later on myself:-))

For some reason older men have this quality. They can't resist giving you the benefit of their experience whether you want it or not! Once an older man outside a supermarket commented on my red hair and next this we're getting a fractured history lesson on why there's blonds in Italy!

Our IT person here at work is like that! I hate when I have computer problems because he goes on and on and on and by the time he is finished I am so confused I forgot what the problem was! I just want to look at him and say, "Get to the point!!"
