The first *recorded* war was in about 2700 BC between Sumer and Elam. But this was almost certainly not the first war of all time--just the first that we have records of.

The first World War is generally agreed to have started in 1914 (AD or CE, your choice). It was a nasty endeavor with casualties of over 40 million people. But I think the real first war was fought at the water-hole by two apelike groups of ancestors shortly after one group interacted with a mysterious black monolith. The date is not exactly known but estimates put it at roughly 1,157,269 BC or BE (your choice).

Hahahahaha nice grammar.
But according to my research the first wars started "happenening" around 1000 B.C.
The earliest warlike behavior I could find was the Assyrians expanding their empire in 900 B.C.

The first war? Probably right after the apes starting standing up straight and walking.

If you believe the Bible, it would be when Cain killed Able. Just think, one quarter of the earth's population wiped out. Nations have been trying to match that ever since.

Oh, please, give us a break--define war--was that when Cain killed Abel? Or do you mean World War I?
