As the driver, she should always be paying attention.....to everything. She is responsible for anything that happens while she is driving. You would be responsible to a point if you had distracted the driver....so did you do anything that would have distracted her while she was driving? Be honest with yourself, and listen to your heart. If you feel led to help, then do so if not then dont. If you feel even a little bit at fault, maybe helping some would be a good idea even if its not half.

No, I don't think that you should have to help pay the ticket. You can offer some money if you are really good friends, but since she was the driver, it was her responsibility to drive legally, and if she didn't, she is responsible for the consequences. Just because you were a passenger doesn't mean that you have to pay for the ticket, she might have gotten tickets driving alone, doesn't mean that other people have to pay for her. If she is mature, she will understand and step up to her responsibilities.

How can that possibly be your fault anyways? If she ends the friendsship over this well thats pretty lame and if she gets mad at you, well shes pretty dumb anyways for getting mad and 2 shell get over it. Its not your ticket its hers. Just tell her that you can't pay her anything.

Stop being selfish. What do we do for our friends? Do we HELP our friends? Just curious, do we help friends? Think about that, and how selfish it is to COMPETELY wash your hands of her mistake. Personally, you turning to me and not helping me one bit when you were with me that night, would tell me to find other friends, becuase you definitely don't have my back. Wouldn't matter if you even gave me any money, as long as you said you'd help what you could. But if you told me just plain out, its all my fault? BYE!
