Friendship is not an opportunity, it's a responsibility. You each agree to be there for the other, no matter what, no matter when - not just when it's convenient for you. In fact, the agreement doesn't even need to be made - you just are, because it seems the most natural thing in the world. Friends respect, trust, and honor each other, look after the other's welfare, especially if they're not taking care of themselves or planning a course of action that isn't a good idea to carry out, and accept the other for who (s)he is.

Loyalty and kindness are the most important things to friendship. You should be dedicated to your friend and not fight with them for the silliest things. You need to have fun together and laugh with them often.
Friendship to me is everything, but unfortunately I haven't many friends my age. Me and my bff laugh about the weirdest stuff...we make up funny names by looking at abbreviations. For example, for "Thank You For Not Smoking" (TYFNS) we made up the name "Thomasina Yashasvinita Fredricatrina Nathanieletta Smithetteina". None of the names (except Thomasina) are real. It makes us laugh a lot, and we don't fight at all. Another thing that makes us laugh is imagining Voldemort (in Harry Potter) dancing like a ballerina. We're major Harry Potter fans.
Friendship to me is everything, as I said before.
I think I am what a good friend should be, because I am loyal, and loyalty, I believe, is the best thing about friendship.

I think to be a good friend you must care about the other person's welfare, be a good listener, show concern for their problems and appreciation for the things they do for you. There has to be alot of give and take in friendship, it has to go both ways.
Plus, one of the most important parts of friendship is acceptance, you may not always agree with them, you may recognize their mistakes even when they don't, and they may do or say things you would never do, but you have to refrain from judging them.
And you've got to have fun with them!

NOPE. I do, however, am great at being the worst realiable person. I dont even consider myself a friend at all. I'm too selfish and dont have emotional distress times when i need someone. My "best friend" since high school knows that about me too well yet she keeps following me around..always has. Not sure why I am like that but I'm so happy not having people drag me down withtheir daily things. Maybe because I have a huge family I enjoy being alone and have them to depend on because truthfully family is all you can count on.

Loyalty...that is the main thing. And understanding. You must never be jealous...only happy for the things that are good. You must support your friend through every event in her/his life. You can voice your displeasure, etc. but still respect the decisions they make. And you must sacrifice. If she needs to talk at 3 a.m. then listen to her and let her cry on your shoulder. You should never judge your friends...you do not walk in their shoes. Just walk beside them and be a friend. I think I am a good friend...so much so that I don't pay enough attention to myself sometimes and my own problems. Good friends are hard to find and harder to let go!!

I am a very good friend, I know how to listen without giving advice, I am always helpful and doing things for my friends. I'm discreet and don't spread their business. I'm not perfect though I can be a better friend.
