most men claim lack of sex, or excitement. Most women claim lack of emotional support, or financial reasons. Either way, its all an excuse. And the problem is usually within the cheater instead of little things going on in the relationship. People should be adults and voice their feelings and intentions, and close one door before they open another.

I would say that it's different for different people, but probably the thrill of conquest is big - especially for guys. The "hunt", and the trophy after the hunt.

Also I would say that the thrill of a new relationship. When you are first involved with someone it's all so new and exciting, and a lot of people miss that when they're in a long-term, committed relationship. Either they don't know how to find enjoyment and pleasure in the familiar, or they don't work at it, so they go find that thrill in affairs.

That would be my guess, anyway. I've never cheated, and never been cheated on, so I'm speaking only from conjecture, not first hand knowledge.

Men and women who cheat have issues with themselves. They're insecure with themselves and use cheating (seeing how long they can cheat without being caught/seeing how many affairs they can have/seeing how many people find them attractive) as a way to cover it up. Not realizing there is an actual person on both ends, the spouse and the other person who has feelings. Not only that because they are insecure with themselves they put other peoples lives in danger because we aren't living in times where you can catch an STD and get an antibiotic and be on your way, there are STD's that you can't cure. What goes around comes around-God is not mock whatsoever you reap you will sow.

to answer all your ? in one answer it's selfishness!!!! Cheating on each other an putting the blame elsewhere is the most selfish thing to do to each other!!They grow tired of each other an find other ways to make messes! Cheating has never had any good come from it, PAIN!!!!!Blaming the other for their mistakes is just a reason to get some satisfaction from the crap they done!!!To make it feel like it wasn't that bad if they take blame too!!!!

i think most men cheat just to see if they can get away with it. men are like children give them an inch they take a mile. i think women and not all do it maybe because their husbands are preocupied with something else or someone and they take for granted what they have men think they can say i'm sorry and your suppose to forget about it, women do it and men call them names and alot of the time divorce them.for doing the same thing.

both cheat if they dont get the attention at home. It has nothing to do with the love at least on the men's side. They keep loving their wives regardless. Women on the other hand cheat due to lack of affection but soon find that diveorce somes easier for them once they've gotten that attention elsswhere.
Alot of married men still act single and dont wear their ring at work. I've fallen for many like that, one in particular which I was technically bf/gf with for a whole year before I found out he was married. He dedicated weekends to me and ofcourse we worked together so we spent alot of time together. Other men sell you off with the "i'm having marriage problems" or "I'm separated" so they have you for a while before you realize they infact are not having problems.
But like, alot of wives blame the women for being homewreckers when its the husbands that have pursued the entire affair by lying anf juggling both women.
I'm figuring they just want a taste. In several instances the guy did divorce the woman for me but once that illusion of sin that feels so good that the person doesnt belong to you disappears so does the attraction so I let go after that.

reasons: nagging wives, one guy wanted to have sex on a 10grand chair his wife bought but kept getting mad at him for sitting on it so he wanted sex it all up in the dirtiest of ways just to have his way and kept telling himself "she gets so mad when I sit on it" babies kills the mood for them at home so they always get it someplace else. Surprisingly is the fact that they always have someone to turn to. One lady had a severe problem in her genitals to where it was impossible to have sex so her husband found me. the stories are endless

Well their could be totally different reasons behind it, like the man would cheat on the wife with a W hore because hes just horny and the wife is to busy, or the other way around the wife is a total pshyco and the man just needs to get out ect... the wife would cheat because the man is a jerk and they fell out of love or she just wants sex. there could be different reasons. but abviously becuase they dont really love or respect one another. I heard there were even some cases that they would cheat on eachother to get back at them or theyre were mad at eachother i dont know but all this stuff is confusing.

I used to think it was about the sex, but after reading all these questions and answers, I have come to the conclusion that, most people who cheat have "serious psychological problems".
They have no value for the commitment they have made, It is a power trip, They have no morals, They have no self esteem....... "serious psychological problems"
My first husband was a cheater and he is seriously damaged in the brain.

They cheat because they are seeking something and are unable to get it from their relationship, so they try to find it from another person on the outside. Perhaps it is someone who listens or someone who cares. Maybe it is someone who is more interested in sex and makes this person feel desirable. Maybe it is love, romance, or passion. There's many parts of a relationship that, if missing, could send a person out seeking them elsewhere.

they blame it on there significant other, for some reason people think its OK to cheat and it isn't. They come up with some lame excuse why they cheated. She didn't have time for me or she didn't blah blah blah. If they would just state what their needs are and talk about it they wouldn't have an excuse. Some don't need and excuse they lack any morals or sense of right and wrong.
