I don't get why michigan would even want this POS. He was at oklahoma state and they were decent with him as coach but nothing special. He is at LSU with all nick saban's talent so it would be pretty hard to screw that up so early. He has proven nothing. Why does michigan want this guy when they could probably get whoever they wanted?

Because he's a Michigan product. I happen to think he's a good coach and believe he could turn the program around in Michigan.

I'm not aware of the fact that Les Miles has expressed an interest in taking the Michigan job. You may just try to read between the lines. Having said that, I'd prefer that the Michigan head coaching job be open to the best candidate available, not just to "Michigan Men". However, if I had to choose between Les Miles and Urban Cryer, I'd take Les Miles. He does have that fire in him.

It's not all Saban's talent. I think Miles is a better coach than Saban. He certainly isn't as big a jerk. Miles managed to get some great players at Oklahoma State even though big, bad Oklahoma was sucking them up like a vacuum cleaner. That would be like Tulane getting them from LSU.

the fact of the matter is that he has coached there before and he knows his way around the team and politics of michigan football. Miles played there and all of his family is there, and evidently he has impressed 3 of the most influental people that matter in Michigan. But, if Carr has anything to do with it, Miles will not get the job

First, Pete Carrol is at USC with a all of Pete Carroll's talent - which is better talent than Saban ever recruited - and he's not competing for a national championship, so it is easy to screw up, especially with Crowton as your O. coordinator. Second, I would want this guy to coach my team just for his halftime and post game interviews. There's something about OSU coaches and their interviews - great stuff!

I agree that he has not proven much of anything except the fact that he can make some crazy fouth down calls and live to tell about it.
Maybe he should make the move to Michigan while his stock is top dollar...

I don't know. Politics most likely. I wish Carr wasn't retiring. It just won't be the same without him.
