Okay so my grandma lives in an old house with an old dark basement and my mom say a really weird bug and we dont know what it was. To describe, it had a somewhat oval shape and two long legs like a spider but didnt look like one. It was black and grey and its body almost one inch long and total diameter about 3.5 inches. If you all dont know what it was were can I go to find out?

Sounds like some sort of beetle. maybe you can punch up BUGS on yahoo image search and see if there are any pictures there.

You might try going to enature (http://www.enature.com/home/ ) if you're in the US. Enter your zipcode, then on the new page, go down to the "Results" box and switch the category to "Insects and Spiders" (it starts with birds). This website gives you a list (with photos) of the plants and animals from your area.

Sounds like a cockroach or water beetle.

go to a vet or a bug specialist, (you can find them in a good search or the phonebook), tell them the descriptions of the bug
