Why would someone find it necessary to threaten my life for my opinions?

This is an email I just recieved:

Message: You are damn lucky you are hiding behind a keyboard kid. If you lied to me about being a veteran, i would have to kill you. That is the worst kind of person, some chicken **** pretending to be a soldier. Some of the boys in my unit would be more then happy to make you disappear for committing treason pal

Ed is failing to recognize that I work for an intel agency myself, and that I have pinged his IP and know EXACTLY where he lives. Cops have been called.

I know it takes more than a ping, It takes the help of the PATIOT ACT

Pinging his IP isn't going to tell you where he lives. . . He could be using proxies to hide his IP address for all you know.

Tell the lamer to get a life, learn the difference between the word 'then' and 'than' and then get on with yours.

I've seen some of your commentary from other questions answered. I am not swayed or impressed. And, you have blocked any information that would lend a hand towards drawing conclusions about your personal constitution and agenda -- you set yourself up for the attack. You work in intel? REALLY? I used to work spec. ops a long time ago in lands far, far away. Your kind never lasted long. I've seen them come and I've seen them go. No great loss.

1.) If you worked where you say you work, you'd know that a ping doesn't always locate the address of someone on a network;

2.) If what you wrote is true, you very well should notify the cops -- and good luck.

As a Federal Law Enforcement Officer I know it is ILLEGAL for you to run checks on anyone unless it is in connection with your OFFICIAL duties (YA doesn't count)

Which agency is it you claim to be employed with?
