I have this really good friend who met this guy where she works. He claims to be a real estate/mortgage agent down in dundee Ill. After knowing him for only a few months she gave her entire savings ($17,000) to him to invest in a property. He promised to send her a $200 check every month. When he claimed to send the first check which she never received his excuse was that his secretary never sent it out. The second time he said he would send it, it never arrived.

She is so in love with him that she will not listen to reason. She reasons, why would he tell me where he lives, works and have a "relationship" with me if he were scamming me? I quote relationship because it really isn't a relationship. She's seen him in person maybe 4 or 5 times over the last 6 months. It's mostly a text message, phone, e-mail relationship. He won't come and see her, or make time for her, he claims he's always working.

I think he's scammed her. What can I do?

You can't save people from themselves. If you persist, she will just omit you from her life.

Are you kidding me? for sure SHE'S BEING SCAMMED!!!! She's fallen in love with him? How can that be if she's in no way met him and that is purely been a pair of months? She's fallen in love with the belief of him because of fact he replaced into wooing her with plant life and presents to get on her good facet which he's for sure carried out. it may desire to injury her now to stroll away yet she'll be hurting so lots greater whilst he screws her out of a collection of money. tell her to shrink off all correspondence with this loser and flow on!

I won't say what I really feel like saying, but it does seem like he lies alot, but who knows if he's a scammer?Only time will tell. In the mean time the only thing you can do is be a very good friend like you have been because it sounds like she'll need a shoulder to cry on.

I think you are right. She has been scammed. You think of her as a good friend, and it is obvious that she does not think much your opinion or friendship. I would find a new friend.

call the cops for her. they may not be able to do anything but maybe he's wanted on other charges. just remember you can't help those that don't help themselves.
