Typically the first living organisms to arrive are things that travel by air. Based on studies of new islands formed by volcanic activity, spiders are often the first advanced organisms to arrive because spiders travel by "ballooning", travelling on the wind by using a long strand of web. The very first organisms are single cell organisms which are eveywhere in our air and water.
