I believe the stigma that gaming has recieved from media Etc. is because of a lack of understanding. People, Particulary older people. Conclude that gaming is a waste of time, won't get you anywhere and so on. In fact Gaming related sports, retail etc. is ever expanding with increasing media attention that is actually positive. No matter where you go, who you meet. you will find people who are so disturbed that they will find excuses for murder etc. in any medium or as i see it, artform. Some Psychologists believe that Gaming is an addiction, it's not, it's a hobby, a pastime like drinking with friends and rockclimbing. This Crusade on gaming will not end for at least another generation, when the understanding is deeply entrenched in our minds as the adults, the doctors, the pyschologists and the politicans etc. Soon Games will be the main entertainment medium, just look at the huge leaps the Wii has made in making gaming a family activity, one step towards accepting it. now we need another. we need people to accept the overwhelming positives as well as the negatives. Governments are willing to launch onslaughts on the gaming industry on TV but behind the scene they are begging for companies like EA and Ubisoft to locate in their Countries. it's only a matter of time!!

Only two have said FFVII so far, so I had to be the third. It's between that and FFX. There's a reason PS and PS2 launched with those games.

World of Warcraft or The Sims 2. Not necessarily based on fun or playability, but simply based on the fact that WoW is the top subscription game (possibly of all time) and the Sims franchise is one of the top 3 best selling games of any format/console.

I have a mix between Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III (VI). Regarding RPGs.
But for me the best ever game was Ocarina of Time. But I am a die hard zelda fan... I am highly biased.

The question of greratest game is of opinion, not fact.
But my vote goes to Parasite Eve. I wouldn't even put FF7 in the top 5 RPGs of all time.
