The only thing Hillary has ever misunderstood is mood of the people. This is why she constantly has to change her message. She has a very typical extreme liberal failing. She thinks the country is more liberal than what it is and that everyone will just accept her self perceived compassionate solutions simply because she thinks they are what is best for the people. This leads her to speak first without really considering the consequences. When this fails, as is quite often the case, she then has to scramble to make it appear that what she said wasn't really what she meant. I assume you are using the word brilliant sarcastically, but take heed of this. I don't care for Hillary Clinton and I do not believe she can be elected to the Presidency, but I do not doubt that she is a very cunning, astute and intelligent politician. Do not make the mistake of underestimating her by making light of her intelligence.

I know a lot of women smarter than Hillary. Hillary is just an old-school politician who does nothing more than parrot party attitudes. I certainly wouldn't call her the most brilliant woman ever!

Hillary doesn't give a sh*t about right and wrong, what America is, and stands for, so no she didn't misunderstand, or underestimate anything. Her aim to be president was never about freedom, or law, it's about her control, and power to rule a nation full of bottle-fed babies! I guess she'll get a surprise at election time, when she will FINALLY learn that the American people are NOT babies, but grown-up, and have minds to think for themselves.....when she loses.

I think that Hillary is still considering her immigration policy options and how to implement them, this was a sour moment for her at the recent debate. Fortunately. Elliot Spitzer was up to bat for her at the state level with the issue of NY IDs for undocumented workers, demonstrating her ability to form subtle loyalty within the party, especially at the state level. I am confident that she will create a solid platform on the issue that will emerge in the coming months.
