All the responders that agreed Bush is a divider has chosen him and elected him..
So sad they switched to reality all the sudden, I am certain that about 95% of American were convinced that Bush was the right choice ... frigging TWICE they asserted their choice in BUSH and Repukes!
Now they all agree the moron is a faliure... well it was not him the failure it was all these folks RIGHT here who are saying now ... YEAH BUSH SUX..
I am sorry guys, you are the one to be blamed for... you have no excuse but to admit incapacity to logically chose a president.
Keep voting for REOUKES and CON artists and you are guaranteed to come back sorry!
Wise up and don't let CHARLATANS and CONS duoe you next time around!
DUBYA did actually unite the country with the skills of his neocon zionists and far right charlatans!

Well, he did a really good job of turning the House and Senate in his lapdogs from 2001-2006. No meaningful opposition to his power grabs and war of agression.
He was also instrumental in silencing external opposition by pointing out that anyone who realized the fatal flaws in is schemes were traitors.
Oh and he made up for his bungling of Katrina by flying home to sign legislation to interfere with a husband's legitimate right to take his brain dead wife off life support.

Not a thing. The most divisive president in 50 years. I and millions more Americans who believe in working together for the good of the country will be glad to see the last of this man.

i think you've fallen into the trap of believing that anyone can UNITE America.
We don't want that. And it isn't good for us.
in this forum alone, you can see at least 25 major divisive issues. Some of them have their roots in bedrock beliefs in unprovable propositions, others in conflicting evidence, others in conflicting dreams.
the give and take on these issues is crucial to America being able to adapt to changing circumstances. If we were united, then we'd be unable to change the resulting policies, even if events began producing dangerous or alarming results.

Hi, i dont think i have ever told u this before but 1 thing i like about u is that u ask important questions and i think that ppl like u and me and many others are trying to save the country from Bush and doing our part to rebuild the country into what it used to be so i have to thank ya for that.
And for ur question, after he came on, he should had divided the country into 2 independent nations so he and his supporters can live independently and not mess with others who wanna live in peace and stuff

He went easy on the Clinton criminals like James Riady and Sandy Berger.
Screw uniting the country anybody having anything to do with the Clintons should've been locked up in jail on day 1. The should continue investigate bribery charges on the Clintons for selling pardons, and treason charegs for accepting Chinese contributions in return for a policy of allowing Loral to sell sensitive military technology to China. Google Maria Hsia---an agent of the Chinese gov't according to our DOJ---look at what liberal papers like NY Times say about her....about John Huang, and what he did when Clinton put him in the commerce post.
Ridiculous stuff. As I said, the Clintons belong in jail. Bush went way too easy on them for the sake of unity!!!

The entire purpose of bush being fraudulently placed in the White House was to divide the country into petty, bickering factions - so that attention was diverted from real issues.
He has done well.

A better question would be: What have we done, as citizens of the nation, to unite? Hm.
Spock gets my vote for best answer.
