If I make it through life with the worst thing being accusing the McCanns of neglect I'll be doing well. Do you honestly think that the courts have nothing better to do than handle libel cases on the Internet? You do realise that they have child murderers to sentence. I guess you would rather they wasted their time on people with different views to you though. Hooray for free speech.

Calling a group of people with different views to your own 'retards' is abuse!
Watch that you don't commit libel before telling others not to.

For someone who reads the Guardian, you have a poor choice of words within your question and calling anyone a retard weakens your argument.

Like anyone is going to take you seriously, your choice of words to insult people is pathetic and childish, have you just got home from school? When you get older you will hopefully be able to make your point without having to use such foul terminology.

Using the word 'retard' to describe someone whose opinion differs from yours is highly offensive and, judging from the article you quote in your link, would count as libel.

I would love it if in the future the McCanns employed people to trawl through the internet chatrooms and sue the butts of anyone who has insulted them, however I think for the time being they should focus on getting Maddy back and leaving no stone unturned.
I agree with others that you should not be calling people retards as they are more likely to disregard anything you say. It is a highly emotive subject but just maintain your position, stand your ground and try not to use to many insults.
Good luck

From what I can see this report was about bullying and the persistent name calling.
From what I've seen here no one has bullied the McCanns nor used language such as seen in that article. So there lies the difference.
There is an equal amount of opinions on here and none, I have seen, have actually gone down that same path your pointing to.
Yet.

I agree, and Y!A aren't fulfilling their legal duties in this respect - which may open that up to legal action too. I reported this question

in which some nitwit labels the McCanns "child killing scumbags", more than 24 hours ago - and it hasn't been removed yet.

Every question and every answer is recorded by Yahoo against your IP address. If the authorities demand your IP address they can simply print off everything you´ve ever written in seconds. It´s as simple as that.
