, but Jesus only spoke of peace. He really doesn't address war in the new testiment. If we were attacked, what should a Christian do? I could not stand by and let others fight.

Jesus wasn't some hippy that strolled around flashing the peace sign to everyone. When the situation called for it, he was quite willing to show his displeasure and aggressively take a sinner to task for his transgressions. Jesus preached forgiveness, which is a whole different thing.

Jesus said that he didnt come to change the law but to fullfill it. Having said that, note Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (from King James' Version):
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

..And yet so many wars were fought in the name of Christianity! Of course they can. Defense of life and family is a Christian teaching.

Christian go to war all the time that's why they have chaplains in the service who knows what right and wrong its up to you to look at the bible and make you own mind up I can't do it for you!!!!
