No - the sarcasm wasn't lost on me! And despite the previous answer (also sarcastic I guess) it won't cause death! I like the way Apple make it completely mysterious as to how you can take the cover off and see inside an iPod. I have got a DVD from a computer magazine somewhere that explains how to do it. I'll see if i can find it.

Well, you must have some idea of what you're doing if you have a motive for taking it out in the first place. Generally though, if someone lacks any kind of experience, it probably is unsafe.
