The Romans Invented Roman Numerals, the Roman alphabet (the one we currently use) and introduced a more civilized culture to Britain. After that they pretty much just fought Wars

Romans as in the ancient Romans? Well, they built a couple of roads, came up with a calender, figured out a nice alphabet.... Nothing much.

Everything. We are Rome. The Romans brought their civilization to Europe where it took seed. It did not take seed in the middle east. So now Europe leads the way. Europe picked up where Rome left off. America picked up when Europe distroyed itself in WWI and WWII. America now rules its economic empire. People from all over the world wish to come to America and live like us and have running water, good roads, lots of money and things to buy. etc. Our legal system, our military, our economic system, our art, sciences, civic institutions, the Church, all decended from Rome. We are ROME.
