Not fair nor legal. I suffer from benign familial tremor and petit mal hypnogogic seizures. Medication helps, but there are times in the workplace where people wonder what is wrong with me if I'm not on my proper medication cycle.
I'm constantly being accused of having a hangover when it hits my motor skills, or "Why are you saying no?" when my head tremors hit unawares. Then there are uncontrollable facial expressions.
You really have my sympathy because my condition is in no way as bad as yours. Fight them with all you've got, and remember, your neurologist will help enlighten them.

A lock and a garbage can? you may desire to kill somebody with an entire garbage can over the pinnacle. So i can not say the college replaced into incorrect for expelling him, even nonetheless I probable does not have long previous as a ways, except he replaced right into a repeat criminal. Any time weapons get entangled, you could not rather call a school incorrect for expelling somebody, except the weapons have been utilized in self protection. yet so a ways as time-honored struggling with, the place not something better than fists or feet are used, suspension would desire to be the punishment, except somebody has gotten into numerous fights in the previous. Then, they're probable not getting from now on useful.

As an American with a disability you do have rights but you must use the services your university has available to help you in order to exercise those rights. Get confirmation of your diagnosis and take it to the office that handles disability services. They will work with you regarding the limitations your condition poses and let you know how to best work with your professors. You cannot simply tell someone on campus you have this condition, it must have medical confirmation. Good luck.

It is not only not fair, it is not even legal. You have been diagnosed with Tourette's and they are obligated to make considerations for your disability. How dare they equate an episode of a disability with disorderly conduct? Shame on them. They cannot expel you without legal consequences.
I am so sorry this happened to you.

No, it is discrimination. Get a lawyer. Get proof from a doctor that you have tourettes and present it to the school. If they persist and do expel you then you can sue the school for discrimination.
