I concur with Gentleman Bush , below also add , it looks like future land, real high tech amazing stuff, under water hotel, a mall you can ski in ,all sort of cool toys.

Well, usually people would say you should never travel alone but Dubai is a really really safe place. You won't get harassed on the beach or anywhere else... Policemen are always paying atenttion to what's going on. If y have any problem at all, you can approch them and they'll help you with whatever you need. People there, coming from so many different countries due to all the work in hotels and restaurants, are usually really really friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful place definitely worth visiting... I'm 22 and went there on my own to live there for a few months last year and I'm perfectly fine plus I had an awesome time and there I met the man I might be marrying in about a year so I definitely recommend it!! I have friends who have gone there alone but you will need to be "Not so Hot" and dress a bit conservatively . You will have to get used to being stared at by groups of guys. There are not too many females there - too many single guys working there from India, Bangladesh e.t.c.
Some restaurants will not let you eat in a Public area but in the Family room.
There are British Pubs where you can meet up with other foreign single women and get the real low down on Dubai as it is today.
Pink taxis also just for Women travellers-Only in Dubai.

Dubai is relatively safe. I myself have travelled to and in Dubai alone. Just be a little cautious with talking to strangers and avoid walking unaccompanied along narrow roads. Personally I don't anyone who have been harassed or troubled but it does not hurt to be extra careful.

Vijay ur ****, aviod eye contact? we aint talking about india here and there is no restriction at all even tho its islamic.Damm Bush has done a good job turning america into being racist.
Oh yeah I have been to U.A.E, dubai and abu dhabi, its TOTALLY AWESOME and regarding safety its one of the safest country in the world, definatly safer than NYC.(man i been to new york this summer its kinda scary at night!).
So yeah its pretty safe u can stay really late at night get drunk gamble and stuff, pretty much like lasvegas and LA.
There are quite alot of americans there too

yes as long as u can take care of ur self, crime rate in Dubai is 1.7% as per last year stats, rape 5 last year

Yes I have been there, it is one of the safest countries in the world. Just avoid eye contact with men on the streets and wear decent respectable clothing. Oh and take lots of money there are fantastic shops, not too expensive at all.

Yes, it's safe provided you keep your wits about you. Avoid eye contact with Arab men and whenever possible, move around with at least one companion. Crime rate is low indeed, but much of it goes unreported. It's an Islamic country, so restraint advised. Enjoy your trip!
