oh my goodness, I learned so much from those stupid things when I was little ... hehe I still remember all the songs from "Grammar Rock", I find myself with one of them stuck in my head for at least 2 days a week - currently it's "Mr. Morton is the subject of the sentence, and what the predicate says, he does."
lol
I feel like I should be really old to even know what those things are. but I'm not. but hey, they work ...

Lolly's! Lolly's! Lolly's! get your adverbs here! That has to be my favorite! And I have all the videos, too! I never had problems understanding the government or how a law is made after repeated listening to 'School House Rock'. I am convinced that I would have never learned it correctly in school because it was taught in such a dry and boring manner. I wish that they would bring 'School House Rock' back...perhaps in a different form to teach our kids the fundamentals of grammar and history in a fun way.

School house rock was cool. The songs are still in my head to this day. I purshased the video about one year ago for my own child. I learned so much and was always excited for cartoon day to come so I could watch em' again. I sure miss those days!

With my kids. I bought the videos and her kids watch them. Not only that, as a teacher, my daughter uses them as a teaching tool in her classroom. Conjunction Junction and all the rest!

That's how I learned the Preamble to the Constitution.

I tend to get "Conjunction junction, what's your function?" stuck in my head.

Loved it! And actually feel pretty lucky to have been in on it.
