Well, the media would find it pretty hard to focus on brainpower and common sense because, er, such things are conspicuous by their absence in the celebrity world. Reminds me of the old joke "What is the definition of 144 celebrities? Answer: Gross stupidity.

I think that it makes whomever is cashing in on all the negative things in a person, wants to feel better about themselves. Celebrities no matter what the age, are just as human as we are. Even if they think that they are invincible.

Good news is no news sadly. News always chooses to report the negative. We don't often get to hear the good stories as sadly humanity is not as interested in them.

i think it is to show that they have their faults too... to make them seem like real people outside of the silver screen... Anyone can act like a good role model in a movie or in front of the camera but i think that it is good for kids to see their faults...

Because that's what readers want to focus on. That's what sells.

because people feel better about themselves to know rich people are just as stupid as they are.
Also people who are fans of these people like to know what there getting up to, but as for haters like myself its just funny to hear that brittany spears shaved her head and lashed out at reporters with an umbrella claiming to be the antichrist..
