anything with oil in it will dissolve the gum... p-nut butter, baby oil, wd-40, orange glow.... melt the gum, then put some degreaser (dawn dishwashing liquid) to get rid of the oil spot...... then run through the wash.

The best thing I've found for removing chewing gum is, of all things, peanut butter. I got gum in my hair in school, years ago, and we used peanut butter--it slid right out. You will need to wash the jeans right away, though, so it doesn't stain.

Perhaps you could try chewing gum. I have put chewing gum on chewing gum and it pulled the old stuff off

Goo gone works! Pour on and let sit for 30 minutes then wash. I just did it on a blanket for a friend that had a bunch of soft sticky gum every where.
