I know I'm probably opening up a can of worms, but what did you think? Has it changed your opinion in any way or confirmed it? I still have no opinion, just that I am sad for the little girl.

No, I have an open mind. There is no concrete evidence one way or another yet, only media speculation and peoples perspective of how the McCann's act.

I tend to agree with you; I don't think the programme told us anything new that would sway public opinion one way or the other.
I hate the way that on Yahoo Answers you have to be either pro- or anti-McCann
I'm neither. I follow the story with interest but haven't seen anything yet that proves to me that the parents did or didn't have anything to do with poor little Madeleine's disappearance.

No I didnt watch it, I made a concious decision not to. I am so fed up of this story now, I dont mean to sound cruel but every day there is a new spin on a story, they are constantly in the papers. Let the PJ and their private investigators get on with their jobs when they have some hard evidence then let us know. Until then I think they should get out of the news and start living their lives as normal as possible.
At the end of the day there are more pressing issues that should be on the news and that should be discussed like war, famine, the environment, the slaughter of endangered speices etc.
For me enough is enough McCanns get out of the limelight!!!!

I was of the opinion from the start that this complex had been targeted by someone with the intent of kidnapping a child for whatever reason and when they saw a family in this case the McCann's going out for an evening meal every evening with regular return visits at set times, in this case half hour intervals it gave them the necessary time gap to complete the exercise. I don't blame the McCanns for leaving the children. When I was a kid my parents took us to holiday camps and people would leave babies in the chalets while the went to the evening entertainment and there was a chalet patrol who would listen for a baby crying. I did not see the program last night. To be honest nothing I have seen has up to now has altered my first opinion and did not think that the program would be any different

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I didn't watch it but I agree you should complain if you found it completely bias (whatever your beliefs). I personally think it was inappropriate to make and broadcast such a programme at this point in time. Programmes like this (and I'm sure there'll be many more) should be broadcast after the investigation is completed and serious care should be taken to avoid bias either way.

I watched it and thought it was incredibly biased.
As a news programme I thought it was very poor - it's main focus should have been to provide information on what happened that night and what has been done since to find her, sightings etc. However all it did was provide one sided commentary from the McCann camp, with "moving" video camera footage of the family - filmed by their family friend. I really didn't see the point other than to try and paint the McCanns as holier than thou.
The one point that stuck in my mind though is this constant turn of phrase "They have taken her" by Kate McCann.
I find the whole private detective thing very suss as well - if they were that close, and sure they were that close to the kidnappers - why would you let the whole world know?

It clarified why the rumours and innuendo started.
It showed Jane Tanner in particular in a more positive light and allowed them to defend themselves a little in this unfair and libellous media circus.
After seeing the programme I still believe that they were not involved in the death of Madeleine - I don't see how they could have got away with it and there is no evidence against them.
I felt very disturbed after the programme and it brought back all of the anguish that I felt for days after May 3rd. God knows what her parents are going through.

No , it reaffirmed my opinion that the Portuguese police are rubbish, and that the McCanns are being (or someone has tried to ) set up.

They are innocent. Madeleine has been kidnapped and all this speculation is NOT helping to find her.

I was disappointed in this programme. I haven't heard much about this story and hoped it would explain why these poor people have been hounded by the press but it didn't really. I am praying that the little girl will be found and that their lives can somehow get back to some sort of normality. I just can't imagine how awful life is for them
