no, I am not. I am a long time blood and platelet donor. I just did it yesterday for 90 minutes on a platelet machine.

I can not understand why people are such BABIES about needles and blood. And give me a freaking break about your wimpy concerns about getting AIDS from blood. It is tested, you moronic little twits. LOL I had to use twits or something nice because my first choice would not print. LOL

One thing you might try...are you using the smallest gauge needle that will still deliver the product effectively? I've seen so many people at horse camps whip out 18X1 1/2 needles to administer meds with, and I'm thinking "YEOUCH".... unless it's something very thick I usually get by with a 22X1 needle. It may or may not make a difference, but I know on the drugs that I have to use the bigger needles for, the horses seem to respond more. Most of my guys hardly move for a 22X1. Other than that, a twitch I suppose. Lots of positive reinforcement when he doesn't respond as much. Since it's a daily regimine, it's difficult. With horses that are uncooperative about annual shots, we give oral sedation a bit before attempting to work with them, and that helps usually, but you wouldn't want to do that every day.

Being a volunteer firefighter for over 18 years I have come across pretty nasty car accidents. So no I'm not afraid of the site of blood or needles. One a tractor trailer lost his breaks and plowed through 2 cars. That was my worst I have to say.

I do NOT like needles in any way. However, I am no longer a child so I can take it. Blood doesn't bother me. I will be freaking out on the inside if I see a needle.

Not at all! I have 8 tattoos, a tongue ring, 9 holes total in my ears, and plan on going for a ninth tattoo. I liked watching the blood flow from my arm to the bag when I donated blood. I think it's cool that that little bit of me can help save someone's life.

Blood pressure cuffs-for REAL-I HATE.

No, I worked at a doctor's office for a few years. Plus, my blood is taken on a regular basis, so it doesn't bother me.
