We usually sit down at 5:00pm. We would like to do it a hour earlier but we still have last minutes coming in from out of town. Meanwhile those who have already arrived, every year we go to the graveyard to visit passed away relatives than to the homless shelters to help out there, than we come home to EAT :). It's a blessing because while away in the Army I spent most of my days deployed in Iraq or out of country so everyones thankful that I can spend another holiday with them!
I'm thankful for my life and for others who have gave their lives for this country!

till this year, as quickly as we desperate on a transformation, we constantly sat right down to Christmas dinner at 8pm on Christmas day. This year the plan is to omit breakfast, in the past a monster raving 4 course gourmand element and as a replace decide for an early Christmas 'Lunch' at approximately 3pm. One merchandise from the former Christmas Breakfast is merely not neglected and that's the bottle of champers which we can quaff at approximately 11am onwards. I anticipate lunch would be in double imaginative and prescient.

I usually have most of the dinner cooked the day before, and just cook the turkey and dressing in the morning. I have a big family so it is imperative that I do most of the desserts , salads, etc. the day before. So we eat about 2 oclock and then later in the evening

Around 1 p.m. As soon as we complete dinner, we go home and pack our bags and head to Chicago. We miss more traffic in our 3 hour trip if we drive up on Thanksgiving evening.
