It was recently on TCM and was one of Roger Corman's efforts from the '50s that was part horror and part social commentary that poked fun at the "Artistic Establishment." The main character was a loser freak who was suddenly heralded as a great sculptor; his statues looked so "Life" like. But there's something wrong with his art...

I first saw this movie as a young teen in Chicago ~1967 and it was on one of Chicago's late-night "Creature Feature/Fright Night" shows, and every time the host said "Bucket of Blood" there'd be a sound of a bucket of liquid being splashed against a hard surface, like the sound of a bucket of water being dumped on the sidewalk, "Slash-SPLASH!" . There were lots of other sounds added to the sound-track, too! It was hilarious!

Seen it. Loved it. Wasnt the best really but a good movie. I would suggest it to someone yeah.
