Since waterless urnials save so much water, why not make it a law and have all Goverment buildings, business, and new construction in homes to have them?

Because we already have entirely too much government mandating and interfering now. We don't need them telling us how to urinate. That would be the icing on the cake!!

If they started the legislation today, it would be 2010 before a comprehensive bill addressing the needs and concerns of the states experiencing water shortages. Included in the bill:

$5 million for helping the needy install waterless urinals
$2.5 billion to refit government buildings (based on current non-inflationary figures)
$20 mil for studies into waterless toilets
$500 mil to refit schools with waterless urinals
$30 mil for public education on water usage
$500 mil for farm disaster relief
$85 mil for a new parking garage in Iowa
$75 mil for the study of heat related effects on the rain forest in Borneo
$23.2 mil for LAX to repaint all their runway and taxiway markings
$15 mil for new desks for Congress
$1.3 billion for pay raises for Congress and Senate over next 2 years.
$65 mil for a new public arts center in Peoria

Any time you ask for a mandate from Congress, it always comes with strings attached.

In the US, the government could not make such a mandate. I think it is a bad idea. I have seen them in public places. They stink real bad. They get stained up and really gross looking. The county health department gets lots of complaints about dirty public wash rooms because of the urinals.

Be it they had growth control, they wouldnt have this problem in certain areas. Like one cow per acre , common sense.

But do not worry the cycle of feast and famine thins the herds and or keeps them moving , intelligently.

To many businesses , to many jobs, to many people in a concentrated area and not dispersed has caused this problem.

why doesnt the government just regulate the food industry so we wont have to go to the bathroom so frequently, and we wont be so fat while theyre at it!

the more government we have, the more under control we are. we are a country of freedoms and the more you make governments force our hands, the less freedoms we have. if you want the government to control every aspect of your life, move to china.
